OC Opt-Out Clerk

How the work is done

Every request we file is that company's own opt-out, deletion, or "do not sell" process. We do not scrape sites into a private database of our own, and we do not invent a back door.

Before we start

You complete an intake packet with the names, cities, and listing URLs we should match. You authorize us to submit privacy requests as your authorized agent where a form allows it. We refuse Social Security numbers, account passwords, and copies of government ID.

What we do with a paid Sweep

  1. Search each destination in our coverage list for the names and cities you provided.
  2. Record every matching listing URL, or record that no listing was found.
  3. Submit the official form, email, or suppression request for each match.
  4. If the site emails a confirmation link, we write to you the same day and ask you to click it. We never ask you to forward an ID upload to us.
  5. Send your status report within 7 days.
  6. Make one follow-up pass on items that were waiting for your confirmation.

If you add Watch

Once a month we search the same destinations again. New or returning listings are filed again. You get a short note of what changed. This exists because several people-search companies say in their own opt-out pages that they keep receiving fresh public records and a listing may reappear.

California's free DROP tool

The California Privacy Protection Agency runs the Delete Request and Opt-out Platform at privacy.ca.gov/drop. It is free, only for California residents, and lets a person send one request to over 600 registered data brokers. The state's page says that starting August 1, 2026 data brokers must check DROP at least every 45 days, and that it can take up to 90 days to see a status update.

If you are a California resident, use DROP yourself (you verify residency through the state's California Identity Gateway). We will remind you and walk you through the official steps on a call if you want. We will not take your state login, and we do not charge extra for pointing you to a free government form.

What we never collect

Payment is handled by Stripe on a payment link. We never see your full card number.
