Terms of service
The service
Opt-Out Clerk searches people-search sites and selected data-broker opt-out pages for listings that match the names and cities you give us, and files each destination's official privacy request. A Sweep includes one written report within 7 days and one follow-up on items waiting for your confirmation. Watch is an optional monthly or yearly re-search of the same destinations.
What this is not
We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice. We are not a credit-repair organization and do not dispute items on a credit report. We are not a consumer reporting agency. We do not remove news articles, court records, social-media posts, or government records at their source.
No guaranteed disappearance from Google
We cannot promise that every listing will be deleted, that a company will honor its form on any particular timeline, or that Google or another search engine will drop a result on a given day. Search results usually change after the source page is removed or suppressed.
Your authorization
By hiring us you authorize Opt-Out Clerk to submit opt-out, deletion, and "do not sell" requests on your behalf as an authorized agent where a company's form allows an agent. You confirm that the names and details you provide are yours, or that you have authority to act for that person (for example, a parent acting for a child).
Your responsibilities
You agree not to send us Social Security numbers, passwords, or ID images. You agree to click confirmation links that a site sends to you when we ask. Delays on those clicks delay the result.
Fees and refunds
Sweep is $99. Watch is $15 per month or $99 per year. Sweep plus twelve months of Watch is $179. Extra adults on the same household order are $59 each for the Sweep and $10 each per month for Watch. If we find no listings and therefore file zero requests, we refund the Sweep. If we found listings and filed requests, the Sweep fee is earned. Watch may be canceled at any time and is not refunded for a month already started.
Acceptable use
You may only request removal of information about yourself or a person who authorized you. You may not use this service to hide information you do not have the right to suppress, or to interfere with another person's listings.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Opt-Out Clerk's liability for a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We are not liable for listings that a company republishes from new public records after a successful request, or for third-party sites we do not control.
Changes
If these terms change, the updated date at the top will change. Work already paid for follows the terms that were posted when you paid.
